ABOUT ALEX CRONIN

Alex is a musician of the highest quality as well as a primary school music educator. He is ideal for assisting you develop skills for teaching music in your own classroom and generating student enthusiasm for music participation. He is well versed in folk and early music, and is a multi-instrumentalist playing the harp, lute, guitar, bagpipes, violin and recorder.

ABOUT MUSICIAN IN THE CLASSROOM

This exciting program involves a professional musician working with you and your students, providing a unique learning experience. Together, you will meet musical objectives to suit your students’ particular needs. Musician in the Classroom allows students to work collaboratively with a musician/educator
in the following ways:

The musician in primary schools can:

• Work with individual classes
• Work with students with particular needs
• Work with special needs students
• Develop or enhance existing instrumental, classroom or vocal programs
• Mentor teachers in music education
• Introduce materials to support the Live Performance Plus program
• Teach particular repertoire to your students

COSTS

1-3 days $700 per day
4-6 days $660 per day
7-10 days $630 per day
11+ days $610 per day

Costs reduce per day on a sliding scale. Eg 4 days would cost (3 x $700) + (1 x $660).
Additional travel expenses apply for regional schools.
