A musical performance inspired by the natural world

Zeeko’s performance uses original material to explore the natural environment and the way various cultures form relationships with it. Not only is the environment a theme of their show, but many of the instruments featured are created from items found in natural and manmade environments.

Zeeko is a trio consisting of three talented and highly sought-after musicians. Two of the group’s members are also composers. Zeeko member David Hewitt has composed most of the group’s repertoire. His compositions are highly original and feature themes relevant to students, teachers and parents alike.

Earth, Wind and Sea is a Live Peformance Plus performance.

Live Performance Plus offers the unique experience of Live Performance by a professional music ensemble at your school, supported by professional development for teachers plus resources for teaching music in your classrooms.

The Professional Development is a three hour session held in a venue close to a number of participating schools.

The Teaching Resources incorporate a variety of activities related to the music of the live performance ensemble, which together can create a term of lessons. The resources link to literacy, numeracy and ICT for all ages from lower primary through to junior secondary. Also included are an audio CD with the ensemble’s music, activities and support materials.

In 2012 Live Performance Plus will include NEW interactive resources for the digital classroom. These resources are cross-platform and will operate on interactive whiteboards, or on computers and with data projectors. They are complimentary to the existing resources and provide engaging activities for your students understanding as well as quality teaching.
