The Tribe will convene at scheduled meetups in Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney.  Students selected for the Musica Viva Tribe will attend 5 sessions in conjunction with Musica Viva concerts, which will be framed by pre-concert and post-concert discussions, and talks by professionals in arts organizations and the media.

Tribe members will be expected to share their experiences with their peers – online through blogs, Facebook, Twitter and other social media; and at their schools in assemblies, school newspapers and in the classroom.

Why join the Tribe?

The Musica Viva Tribe opens new doors to chamber music for young people as they experience performances by renowned international musicians on the concert stage.  There is more to it than this:  participating students will engage with professionals in the Arts scene; polish their own writing and communication skills; meet new people and make new friends.

  • Tribe members will attend pre/post-show talks, meet the musicians, and access ‘behind the scenes’ information
  • Tribe members will have a chance to meet people who share the same interests outside of school
  • Tribe members will be able to improve their communication skills through blogging, writing reviews of performances, social networking.
  • Tribe members will participate in an online workshop designed to support them in improving writing and blogging skills
  • The opportunity to submit reviews of performances, which will be posted on the Musica Viva website
