What we collect and how do we use it

When you place an order with us (for a subscription or ticket purchase), we need to know your name, day and evening telephone numbers, email address, postal address, credit card number and credit card expiration date. If you order a concession or student subscription or concert ticket, we also need information about your pension type and number or details about your full-time enrolment. This allows us to process and fill your order and to notify you of your order status.

When you subscribe for services like...


Know The Score email bulletins, special invitations or promotions, we need only your name, email address, the city in which you live and the Musica Viva series to which you subscribe (or advice that you are not currently a subscriber). We use these details only to send the appropriate information you opted-in for. You can unsubscribe from our email bulletins at anytime.

When you book the Musica Viva In Schools program...

We need your name and position, information about your school and details relating to the group/s and times of year for which you wish to book. We use this information to process your booking and contact you to check, alter or confirm details of your participation in the Musica Viva In Schools program.

When you participate in an interactive online education activity...

We may need your name, the school or institution at which you work or study and other information, depending on the nature of the educational activity.

When you participate in a promotion...

We may ask for your name, home or work address, telephone numbers and email address so we can administer the promotion. We may also use the information we collect to notify you about important functionality changes to our web site, new services we provide, and special offers we think will be of interest to you. If you would rather not receive this information, please email us to change your preferences or to request that we discontinue providing you with this information.

We are working to personalise your experience of our website by using your purchases and site behavior to shape any recommendations we may make about concerts, CDs or other merchandise that might be of interest to you. At the time of writing, personalised web screens are not yet available, but this policy statement will be updated when we are able to offer this service. We also monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the site, and welcome constructive comments from visitors.

Booking Forms for Series and Concerts include an optional section where you can help us by providing demographic information that will assist us to plan and provide you with products and services that are likely to be of interest. We may disclose information to third parties solely for the purpose of performing business services for us. In any such cases, the third party will be bound to ensure that your privacy is protected. In addition, we may disclose anonymous, statistical information to prospective advertisers or business partners. We protect your privacy in a number of ways


Musica Viva Australia uses appropriate measures to secure your personal information. All of your ordering information - including your name, address and credit card number - is encrypted using a secure server for maximum security. Your order (including credit card information) is cleared from our web site daily and is not stored by Musica Viva Australia on the web site. Credit card transactions are handled by the appropriate box offices, which process the transaction.
