The Equal Music Program

Musica Viva believes every Australian child has the right to quality music education, and is committed to redressing the inequity of access to music education in schools across Australia. The Equal Music Program is a new philanthropic initiative, helping to ensure that even more children are able to access our outstanding music education programs.

Musica Viva In Schools is Australia’s largest provider of music education and presents multi-award winning programs committed to bringing the best music education to as many schools as possible – regardless of location, size or economic circumstances.

Our education programs reach around 300,000 school children each year. Through quality interactive resources for the digital classroom and joyful performances by professional music ensembles, this early access to live music can open up a world of opportunity for many students. Every participating teacher also receives unparalleled support and professional development opportunities to assist in teaching music in the classroom.

Donations through the Equal Music Program will help us to reach more children and teachers in 2013 by subsidising the costs of Musica Viva's education program for schools who would otherwise not be able to afford it.

Thank heavens for the very generous benefactors who make it possible for our children in a very small and isolated country town to experience a brilliant range of musical types, which would never be otherwise appreciated.
