Besen Family Foundation

In 2011, with generous funding from the Besen Foundation, Musica Viva brought a music residency program, Musical Bridges, to Richmond West Primary School in metropolitan Victoria.

Primary school students worked with a professional educator/musician and a professional composer to create an original composition reflecting their own aspirations as students. The completed work was presented in a public celebration involving the school and broader community. Professional development is also provided for the teachers at the school.
