The James N. Kirby Foundation

In 2011 the James N. Kirby Foundation supported the development of Musica Viva’s Special Needs Kits for Primary School Children. The Special Needs Kits enhance the music education of students with special needs through a tailored program prepared by special educational needs professionals. They encourage social and academic development through participation in music making, and give teachers the confidence to teach music in the classroom and integrate music into other areas of the curriculum.
