“The Berg Family Foundation was established to ensure that we can continue making a difference to Musica Viva, and the many other organisations we deeply believe in, for many generations to come. A PAF was immediately attractive for a number of reasons. In addition to compelling taxation benefits, the structure enables The Berg Family Foundation to accumulate a ‘corpus’ that will support our philanthropic giving in perpetuity. Setting up our own PAF also meant that we could engage all family members in making a difference through philanthropy. It inspires us to know that The Berg Family Foundation will continue to give to organisations like Musica Viva, and that our children and their children will be its custodians.”

The Musica Viva Festival in 2011 was made possible by the vision, commitment and immense generosity of the Berg Family Foundation. With generous ‘seed’ funding provided by the Berg Family Foundation the Festival entranced audiences presenting 37 events across the Sydney CBD. Dates for the next Musica Viva Festival are to be confirmed.
