About Musica Viva

Founded in 1945, Musica Viva is Australia's oldest independent professional performing arts organisation. Musica Viva continues to share the delights of Chamber Music with audiences throughout Australia, presenting over 2,400 concerts in Capital Cities, Regional Communities and Schools

In 2013, Musica Viva Australia performed 2,004 concerts for 348,224 people, including 1,636 concerts for 272,677 students across Australia.

University of Western Australia research shows that 100% of teachers acknowledge that Musica Viva In Schools positively impacts student creativity, imagination and self-expression.
