For Audiences

Musica Viva Masterclasses invite audiences to go 'behind the scenes' and discover the unique ways internationally-acclaimed musicians interpret and perform music by the world's greatest composers.

Masterclasses are conducted by artists touring as part of Musica Viva's International Concert Season and provide students, music teachers and audiences of all ages with a fun and unique learning experience.

Every Masterclass is different, exploring a diverse range of classical music in a highly entertaining and engaging format.

In between short performances by young music students and early-career artists, audiences can experience another side to music making as the mentors work with their mentees to break musical works down into smaller parts and examine the historical context and hidden meanings within the music.

Masterclasses are also the perfect introduction to classical music, offering musically-curious audiences an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the world of classical music.
