Dynamic performances, face-to-face and online, by culturally-diverse ensembles are complemented by comprehensive lesson plans, interactive content, and professional development for teachers, building the capacity of schools to inspire, teach, and instill a love of music.   

The Operations Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Education team to ensure the effective delivery of the national Musica Viva In Schools program. 

Reporting to the Operations and Artist Manager, Education (O&A Manager), the position also has close working relationships with the National Education Team, State Managers, musicians engaged in the Education program and the Musica Viva Australia Finance Department.

  • Experience of arts touring  
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills  
  • Strong relationship management skills  
  • Ability to work as a member of a busy team  
  • Excellent attention to detail  
  • Proficient skills in databases and Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel  
  • Eligibility for a Working With Children check 

Desirable Knowledge & Skills:  

  • Experience with Tessitura 
  • Experience working with or knowledge of Australian music ensembles  
  • Commitment to and experience of working in the arts industry, specifically in operations  
  • Current, clean driver’s licence
