The National Capital Orchestra presents Echoes of Humanity, a special charity concert in partnership with St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn.
Internationally acclaimed Polish pianist Lucas Krupiński, joins the NCO as soloist for Rachmaninov’s much-loved Piano Concerto No. 2. NCO Artistic Director Louis Sharpe then conducts Mahler’s powerful Symphony No. 1 (“Titan”).
Proceeds will support St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn and its work assisting people experiencing hardship across our region.
Thread: Connecting stories and community

For millennia, clothing and body adornment have shaped, and made visible, connections to land, community and culture. Developed through ongoing conversations between artists and community members from the South-East Queensland city of Logan and the National Portrait Gallery, Thread: Connecting stories and community traces the relationships between garments and the histories, labour and knowledge systems of First Peoples, and offers pathways for deeper intercultural understanding.
Reich: Rejoice: Repeat

Celebrate Steve Reich’s 90th birthday at The Street Theatre with Ensemble Offspring and special guest virtuoso pianist Gabi Sultana performing alongside Ronan Apcar, Claire Edwardes and Niki Johnson in Quartet. Expect glittering music amplifying Reich’s trademark rhythmic complexity and a touch of jazz. Schubert Songs: The Beloved Colour

London-based musicians and long-term collaborators Fred Thomas and Alice Zawadzki perform an intimate program of the songs of Franz Schubert. Step into a modern Shubertiade to hear a “simpler way” of delivering song including beloved favourites such as Death and the Maiden alongside lesser-known jewels and the Romantic poetry of Schubert’s friends and contemporaries.
