But beyond the public persona lies the lesser-known story of a British provocateur who crossed the world and found home in Western Australia.

Perth Symphony presents a dynamic musical portrait of Ben Elton's journey from Britain's alternative comedy revolution to one of WA's most celebrated adopted creatives. Featuring trio vocals, piano, rhythm section, strings and brass, the performance blends storytelling with music from artists including Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Proclaimers, The Specials and Noël Coward, with live narration by acclaimed comedian Sam Longley.
