For 45 years Musica Viva Australia has brought live music into schools across the country, helping children connect with music in a real, shared and accessible way.
Today, many children experience music only in the background – on a screen, in a shop, or through social media. Very few have the chance to experience the power of live music performed right in front of them.

When children experience live music, something changes.
Music becomes something they can see, feel and connect with in a real and meaningful way – changing what they believe is possible.
Research shows music can support creativity, confidence, communication and emotional wellbeing, while strengthening learning and development across many areas of life. And for many children, these experiences can stay with them for years to come.

Musica Viva Australia supports children and young people through every stage of their musical journey – from first encounters with live music in schools, to opportunities for young musicians to learn, grow and perform.
Your support helps create these pathways, making lifelong engagement with music possible.
What your donation can do:
- $105 – can introduce live music to 10 students
- $315 – will support a class experience
- $1,600 – can bring live music to a school
- $5,200 – will help bring live music to multiple schools, including in regional communities
In 2025 we reached more than 190,000 students in schools nationwide through our education programs. For many, it was their first experience of live music.
