Imagination Exploration

The creative joy of improvisation

A journey into musical imagination.

There are no mistakes, only fun and joy, when the improvisation experts of Imagination Exploration travel with you! Through the sounds and instruments of jazz, students are introduced to the exciting world of improvisation and composition, discovering how musicians create, communicate and collaborate in the moment.

Students will explore concepts of texture and rhythm through various interactive activities including singing, rhythmic games and group soundscaping. Students will also learn how to lead an ensemble and perform two complex rhythms at the same time (polyrhythms). Imagination Exploration celebrates curiosity, self-expression, and the joy of making music together
