Explore how music can be a powerful means to share language and history.
Australians come from many different places. Music in my Suitcase celebrates the stories and traditions that that music can share across cultures.
Integrating music and dance, this show gives students the opportunity to sing in different languages, including Welsh, Turkish and Kurdish, identify instruments from around the world, explore musical concepts such as syncopation and call and response, and discover how music can communicate language, identity and belonging. Students will also have the opportunity to share their own languages in the classroom and during the performance.
