QUEENSLAND STATE COORDINATOR
Reports to: Queensland State Manager
Location of Office: Brisbane on Turrbal and Jagera Land
Appointment type: Part-time Permanent – 3 days per week (22.5 hours)

MVA is looking for an experienced arts administrator with strong organisational, stakeholder management and sales skills to join our Queensland team.
Musica Viva Australia’s vision is of a music-rich future for all Australians. With chamber music at our artistic core, MVA creates memorable musical experiences for audiences at every stage of life and supports musicians at every stage of development through our Concerts, Education and Emerging Artist programs. MVA aims to make exceptional music accessible and relevant to Australia’s diverse communities and to reflect the world in which we live today.
If you’re brimming with enthusiasm about the impact of music education on young people’s lives and passionate about the arts in Australia in general, you’ll love working with us. We’re proud of our reputation for having a great work culture and helping to develop some of the most talented arts professionals in our sector. We provide hybrid and flexible working options and have a centrally located office in Fortitude Valley.
If you’re bringing more experience in arts or education administration, are comfortable managing a busy workload and have outstanding organisational and administrative skills, the Queensland State Coordinator role will be a good fit for you.
This role involves working across all aspects of MVA including Concerts, Education, Emerging Artist programs, the qualities that will make you successful in this role include:
- Strong organisational and administration skills, with demonstrated experience using the Office suite of software.
- Ability to manage competing demands, follow processes and work with minimal supervision.
- Confident stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience in customer service and telephone sales desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM programs (Tessitura or similar) is desirable – training will be provided.
- Experience in, or understanding of, the arts and education sectors in Queensland is desirable.
